Although gender equality has progressed and women have more opportunities to contribute economically, the role of a mother and wife remains essential. In reality, many women are successful in their careers just like men, yet when they return home, they still take care of their families, raise children, manage household tasks, and maintain harmony within the family.
Ms. Lam Thi Ha, head of the Family – Health – Happiness Club in Vinh Tien hamlet (Vinh Thinh commune, Hoa Binh district), is a typical example of a woman who excels both at work and at home. She actively participates in community activities and helps bring policies to local residents in an accessible way. Despite being busy with social work, she still takes good care of her family. She shared that having a supportive husband helps her balance responsibilities. She believes that no matter how successful a woman is outside, she should still fulfill her role as a wife and mother, as this is the core of a happy family. Many women today share this view. It is not an exaggeration to say that women bring warmth and love wherever they are.
Ms. Ngo Thi Thu Trinh from Hung Thanh commune is another example of a devoted woman. She believes that keeping a happy home is not difficult. Along with maintaining a stable family economy, it is important to teach children about family values. Family members should treat each other with respect, patience, and understanding. She values harmony in relationships and treats her daughter-in-law like her own child. She also believes that parents must set a good example for their children. Thanks to her balanced and thoughtful way of managing family life, she plays a key role in maintaining happiness in her three-generation household.
It can be said that in building a happy family, women play a vital role: understanding, sharing, encouraging, and constantly improving themselves. This is also an important contribution to creating a healthy and strong society, both physically and emotionally.
